Our Board of Directors

Kelly Emerson - Chairman, Founder

Kelly Emerson - President & Founding board member - Hawaii island

About Me Business Owner, New York City Sub Shop, Hood River, OR. I have spent most of my professional career as an administrator for social service corporations and non-profit organizations.

In 2017, after several close family members and friends began and ended their personal fights with cancer, I felt compelled, obligated, and responsible to make a difference. Living with Cancer is complicated. We found our mission, realizing that this is an underserved group of people that are facing mid life challenges. We officially formed 2Live2Cure in 2018 as a way to provide a broader support network for those currently living with cancer.

IN MEMORIAM

kathy meredith, founding board member & treasurer - desert aire

Kathy was a founding board member and our Treasurer until her passing in September of 2024. Kathy passed away from ALS after having just recovered from a difficult battle with breast cancer. Kathy was the driver behind many of our programs and ensured that 2Live2Cure was setup for success and growth. We would not have been able to achieve all that we have without her knowledge and expertise.

About Me Though I am now retired, my working life consisted of accounting. I worked for a CPA firm, the Budget Director for the City of Spokane and finished my paid working years as the Business Manager for our local school district. Being the mom of the two wonderful women that started this organization, and being touched by so many loved ones and friends with cancer, this cause is very near to my heart.
